Setting Up My Own Comedy Night

So the big question is, how am I going to get enough stage experience to pull off an amazing 1hr show at both the Camden Fringe?

At the moment I am asking/begging for 5 minute spots at open mic venues. This is resulting in getting, at best, 5 mins a month. Using advanced maths, I’ve worked out that I will have been on stage for 30 mins by the time my 1hr slots come around. That’s exactly 50% of the time I will need to be on stage… a.k.a I’m in a stickier situation than a rather sticky stick-insect who has just graduated from Sticky school.

I need stage time, and fast. Therefore the only way is to take control of the situation and set up my own night in Notting Hill. That way I can ask myself nicely if I can be on the bill or compere every week. This should result in getting 20 – 30mins a week and hopefully that will be enough over the next 4 months to practice enough material to rock both the Camden Fringe 2014

Right, I’m off to hunt down the next great comedy venue in Notting Hill. I thinking of calling the night ‘The Notting Hill Comedy Club’ What do you think?
