Stand Up Comic v Comedy Event Organiser

As I think about all the things I do in relation to comedy, I can’t help thinking, especially on the Underground Comedy Club nights, that I might be spreading myself a little too thin.

Underground comedy Club Logo copy. It’s a lot of work in itself, organising everything, selling tickets, promoting the event as well as run it on the night. Also it’s difficult to keep everything smooth with acts, bar staff and audience peeps, when I should be focusing a lot more on the perform on stage part.

Am I doing too much? Am I doing a lot of jobs OK, instead of one job really well?

After last night’s gig in Kentish Town, even though it was a real success, I couldn’t help thinking maybe I should split these two jobs up. Maybe I should bring in an MC for all the Underground Comedy Club nights and save performing on stage for other nights. That way I will not feel pulled in different directions on the night.

What do you think?
