Underground Comedy Club

UCC presents Chris Neill: The day after

Gosh, I feel quite relaxed today, no feelings of frustration or a need to rack my brain to work out how to make the next Underground Comedy Club event successful, as we are all done… that’s right, last night was the last event ever!

Well unless we come out of hibernation in a year or two. (which we probably will.…unless I have taken over of the comedy world and I’m a little too busy obviously.…)

It feels great that the night was a success, we finished on a high. Even though I didn’t perform, I did the organisational job well.

Looking back I remember our first night like I was yesterday. With Ian Stone and Paul Ricketts. That was a crazy night as I had booked too many acts and had tried to squeeze them all in. Ha ha, it was mild chaos especially with James Veitch having cables all over the stage at on point.

Though that’s the way it is. Once the clock strikes 8pm it’s game on…

It started on the 15th May 2014 and ended on the 30th April 2015. It’s been a fun year and also a seriously exciting/draining learning curve. I can happily say that I’ve had a very thorough foundation building year, and now I’m ready to take the comedy world head on… right?

A massive thank you to all the acts who performed and an even bigger thank you to all the people who came and enjoyed the comedy with us.

Excited about the next chapter, so good bye Underground Comedy Club and thanks for all the fish.
