A great night, though a little thin on the ground with only 22 through the door. But that was 13 more than last week!
The lights were dimmed (well as best as possible as the stage light is also connected to 7 other ceiling spot lights resulting in the stage and half the room being in the spot light). The comics got ready (mainly through star jumps).
I wanted to introduce each act with music, but that didn’t happen mainly as I haven’t slept properly for 17 days now thanks to the arrival of a little baby thing (which we love very much, just incase she’s reading this…) So the acts come on as usual, which was fine. I just wanted it to be even better.
The night was great, we had a real mix of comics. Holly Burn wrestled an audience member to the floor, James Bran had tennis balls thrown at his head (it’s ok he was wearing the correct safety equipment) and Jessica Fostekew explained a rather random event involving a B&B breakfast menu of only one item!
I MC’d the start of the night and then passed the baton onto Paul Wade as I was struggling to even read comics names off my hand, let alone entertain the masses.
